Purpurea Root Most of the Echinacea on the market consist of flower parts and stems, which have the least amount of the beneficial ingredients you buy Echinacea for. The “now” product uses the root which is much harder to find when you check the ingredient list on other manufacturers. I believe this is why many people do no see the results one hopes for when using Echinacea. This product has been the best I’ve used and the cost to benefit ratio can’t be beat, in my estimation. “Now” also makes a “Dry E” which is Tocopheryl Succinate, another hard to find product whose benefits are backed by quite a bit of research. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for high quality Echinacea at a reasonable price.

For some reason, this dry form seems to work better for me.Be advised that you do need to take very large quantities of ANY Echinacea product to get the very best benefit from it (especially if you waited until you got sick to start taking it)!
