Gil Miller says:

No colds There’s some controversy about Echinacea. A lot of studies show it isn’t effective against colds and flu. Regardless of the studies, I’ve been taking this supplement daily for twenty-six years–since my near life-ending heart by- pass operation–and . . . I haven’t had a cold in all of that time. Odd thing is, occasionally I’ll get the symptoms of a cold coming on–a few sniffles and sneezes but within twenty-four hours everything’s back to normal. Whether or not this is because of the efficacy of the Echinacea, I don’t know, but the supplement is so inexpensive that I see no reason to eliminate it from my daily regimen.

This has helped my nephew who was born with a low immune system and since taking these pills(he takes the chewable ones) his doctor has seen so much immporvement she autoerized him to attend school.

Generally very effective in preventing colds. I have had … Generally very effective in preventing colds. I have had a sore throat that took more to knock. Beware of anyone just vaccinated against whooping cough because they are carriers and very contageous, Astragalus, Wild Oregano Oil and the Echinacea/Goldenseal complex have additional combined effectiveness. There seems little these will not hold off. I read an article showing chestnut leaves or their extract effective in blocking the toxins produced by MRSA infections, though I have not needed so far.
