This working meeting will look at why working relations between those working on health and environment are rarely very effective and at what can be done to improve joint working. It will also look beyond the Budapest process at how future co-operation can be developed and improved between NGOs in both fields and between NGOs and public sector bodies working on health.

The initial presentations will present new research on ways to better co-operation between the two disciplines of health and environment, and will also highlight the possible roles of APED and EEHN in the year ahead.

There will then be a facilitated discussion including breakout groups to help identify the priorities for future work and the kind of support and materials that those working in this field would like.

The output of the workshop will thus be a set of priorities for action, both for advocacy and networking at a European level and also for work on the ground by individual NGOs.
